upgrades that are downgrades

I am playing The Afrika Korps DCG and I have 2 problems no units at start of mission happened 2 times and I had PZIIIHs then I got upgrades and all were changed to IIIGs
and my leader lost ! point in morale was 7 now is 6. What can be done? I am still playing the DCG but I would like my IIIHs back.

Hmm, apart from editing the file manually, all I can suggest is waiting for the next upgrade. It is certainly more challenging for you now! lol

The H and G are almost identical except the H has slightly thicker armour plate. In game terms, a defense of 6 instead of 5.

When did the upgrade occur, and did it affect all your platoons or just a single company? This is important and may not yet have been addressed in the patch.

All of my platoons have been affected. The upgrade happened in Aug 41. I am still going on, now it is Oct 41.
I actually noticed something else my commander is the regimental commander of the 8th Panzer Regiment.
The units I command now are the 5th Panzer Regiment; I looked at the unit organizations and found that my commander is charge of both regiments. Someone in the OKW is having too much jagermeister and schnaps.

What command level are you playing, battalion? Regiment?

OK something is strange because you should have started with all IIIG's and only 1 company of IIIH's.

Anyway the OOB's for this DCG have been reworked for the next patch and I have a feeling players will find that these sort of anomalies have all been ironed out, including the 'no units at start' bug.

Thanks I will keep playing then when the patch comes out I will start another DCG.  I actually had 2 companies of IIIgs at the start then at my first upgrade I had one left, the second upgrade left me all IIIGs and changed my command. No worries though I can handle A13s and Crusaders--- Matilidas and the upcoming Grants will be tough
but no Grants til 42.
