RHS, CHS schmee HS

Post by T34851962 »

Hi all,

I have WitP loaded with CHS and Andy Browns map mods...what's the difference between CHS and RHS?
What do I need for RHS should choose to use it?

Cheers in advance!

They are completely different mods... personally, i found RHS evolved too quickly with frequent changes, and gave up on it some time ago, however, this might have changed since i stopped following its development.

Personally - i would strongly recommend CHS, esp. with NikMod.

As rtrapasso said CHS and RHS are two completely different things. What is common is that both have a far better map than stock.
If you gained knowledge through the forum, why not putting it into the AE wiki?

I have played both. Currently, I have a CHS PBEM game going. Would recommend that if you are going to play a PBEM game using this mod that the Japanese player go into the Editor and increase your Political Points for the Allied player from 50 to 75 per day. I'm struggling in my game that is now in 2/43. [:(]

The map on RHS level 7 is "sweet." [&o][&o]  The mod is a challenge for players as there have been significant changes made from stock and other mods. Its like WitP 1.5  [:D]  IMO, there will be a lot of things from this mod found in AE when it comes out or things taken from it and improved upon.

If you haven't played anything but stock, I would go with CHS. If you have any experince with mods, then try RHS (play a game against the AI to see if you like this mod before any PBEM game).

I find RHS to be a whole different experience then CHS and prefer RHS. Read the info on the different scenarios at http://www.rhs.akdreemer.com/rhs_home.html
Just my 2cents.

Agreed. RHS is truly a beast and can be overwhelming in the beginning. I'm currently in the second week as allies in a pbem and it's _very_ different from stock or CHS. Most important change is that even as allied player you'll have an economy to manage, although only to a certain degree.
The thing I like most about it (besides the fantastic Lv7 map) is that you can play around with some concepts we might also see in AE. But again, its a beast so consider yourself warned. [8D]

Just FYI, RHS and AE has absolutely nothing to do with one another...

RHS is the only mod out there with a modified map that allows shipping worldwide.
RHS requires the Allied player to move Oil and Resources around to generate supply/fuel.

Both of them will be in AE as far as I know from the various posting by AE team members. I'm not saying that RHS came up with them before AE did, just that some things I see now will be in AE.

Edited for the clarity due to the language police. See poster below mine. [:D]

"I'm not saying that RHS came up with them before RHS" Thanks for clearing things up [X(] Actually I thought the quote could not have been said any better than by Yogi himself. [;)]
