For the Original PCOWS Game

Hi,

It is my understanding that the first game (Panzer Command Operation Winter Storm) will be brought up to the level of the new game PCK.

How will this happen via patch or by installing in the same directory?

The full version of PCK has all the bits of OWS hidden inside. When the installer runs, it checks your computer for OWS. If it finds it, it installs all the winter bits into PCK.

Yep - it doesn't change your Winterstorm installation. If it finds that Winterstorm is installed, it adds updated Winterstorm content to your Kharkov installation.

You would run the WS scenarios and campaign from the Kharkov game. The setup puts a new icon for PCK on the desktop. You use that one instead of the old one for WS.

Gotcha...so basically the answer is yes.  We get to enjoy all the changes even with the old game.  That is great to hear!

It adds updated Winterstorm scenarios and campaigns to the Kharkov installation. These work with all the new Kharkov features and the new Kharkov AI runs the opposition in them. Even if you've already played the Winterstorm campaigns several times, it's worth playing them again with the Kharkov engine.

Glad I didn't uninstall OWS.
