2vs2 or not ?
Need to know that. Don´t want to shoot at my friends accidently [:D]

Questions (had no time for a deeper look at)
1. Is concentric bonus there or not ?
2. Do i need freighters and invasion troops for capturing planets or can i do that by fighters/destroyers ?
(in other words are the ships ships like in ww2 set or do they act like ground units in that scenario ? )

I think, Ships are Ships, Fighters and Bombers are planes, Ground troops are ground troops. I vote for all vs all, with diplomacy if you like.

Yes, lets do a 2 v 2 then. Smegeration & Womulans vs Klingoffs & Domino (were both Welsh lads). 1. The spaceships are like ship SFT types and I do not believe concentric bonus applies although ground forces I believe do apply. 2. Yes, you need freighters and invasion troops for capturing planets and starbases. They cannot be captured by ships alone. It is best to pound groundforces with ships in orbit (ships have an artillery attack they can do when next to planets/starbases) which reduces readiness and kills troops before an invasion as troops invading get a large penalty (similar to an amphibious attack). It is best to always take more troops than you need. Only freighters can carry troops, no other ship can. Btw the 'Planetary defence cannon' can attack ships 4 hexes away.

Btw the 'Planetary defence cannon' can attack ships 4 hexes away.

That doesn't seem right. If i recall correctly in episode 37 of series 3, Kirk lands on a planet which has a planetary defence gun and blah blah blah blah.

Sorry for the late start guys, my wife and I had a Date Night (nudge nudge wink wink) last night so I didn't see this thread until today.

Turn 1 on to the Klingoffs.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"

Just looking at this, if there's going to be 2vs2 games then there needs to be the ability to make peace. Otherwise we'll be intercepting each others fighters and bombers. As most of the board is "sea" we'll still be able to cross each others territories which is great.

OK, my ground troops have arrived, and they look like Klingoffs, but they are down as peaople "Smegeration". It may be the way I updated my scenario version after opening the turn, or it may be an error that needs fixing.

Redo the turn if you think your old version could have screwed something.

Unfortunately the scenario seems to be buggy.
Why ?

My Womulan production and supply was not delivered. I checked 1.10 in the editor and couldn´t find any problems.
But i´m not really a specialist here. Ingame i checked the supply path and my HQ seems to be in range of my producing
planets. No idea why my production did not arrive.

2nd thing is a graphic bug. The green background of the planes/starbases is cutted when i click into the right or left neighbour hexes.
Something must be wrong here.

Closed the turn now since i can´t play without production...

I just checked in new game and the Womulans are the only regime who get no production in turn 1.
In turn two the complete production arrived [&:]
In addition the Womulans have only one freighter at the start and not two like the other regimes [;)]

I´ll redo the turn tomorrow morning or do you guy´s want to restart with a fixed version ?
Since i do not know why i got no production in first turn it would be nice if the scenario designer could look at.
No production in turn 1 is ok, no production during the first fights could be the end for my Womulans....

edit: I downloaded version 1.10 of the scenario yesterday, but ingame i have no proof that it´s really version 1.10.
Is there a version number anywhere ?

Sorry for the delay guys.

Hi Seille,

1/ I am aware of the Womulan production problem on the first turn. I have tried to see why this is happening but cannot fix the problem. It is the only race that has this problem. The planets are set to produce and are attached to the homeworld HQ so I am not sure why this is happening. Due to the fact that I am aware of this I have given the Womulans HQ extra supplies at the start to compensate for this shortcoming so it should not affect game balance. This only affects the start of the game. You can produce units from Turn 1 without problem.

2/ I will check the graphic bug when I go home tonight. It seems strange that I didn't notice this before.

3/ I did not know about the 1 freighter problem but will fix it in an update (after we have played a few turns perhaps just incase there are other things I didn't spot).

4/ The version on the AT site is v1.10. When I do the next update I will ensure the file is labelled appropriately.

Sorry if there are a few minor errors in this scenario, it is my first real attempt to try to change the AT from a WWII setting and has not been beta tested by any other players. We are the guinnea pigs. I will of course note all errors/changes that need to be made and post them in an update. Hope thats okay with you guys.

Matt, just to make sure you know, I think the scenario is great, a massive change and something fresh to get my teeth into. When i mention things that need fixing, i don't mean it in a moany way, but rather because i thought that was the main reason we were playing it, to find bugs.

I know that and no offence taken. I do want constructive comments as I don't want the game to be unplayable, unbalanced or naff so keep em coming [;)]. Thanks.
