Please upload a saved game here that starts just prior to the time of crash. Please test it to ensure that it does crash after you load the saved game and run it. I need to be able to repeat it. Thanks.

How do I upload it - I'm clicking on the 'Click here to Upload' button but when I try to upload the .aag save file I keep getting the error message File not Supported??? The Save Game is one from 5 minutes before 1200 and does result in a CTD

Runs perfectly fine on my machine well past 1200. ...mmm...

Can you run other scenarios for any length of time without crashing?

Did you give na order just before or at 1200 or in some way interact with the interface - eg clicked a button etc?

Not had problems on other scenarios - this save definitely crashes on my machine at 1200 every time. I've tried it about 7 times and haven't given any orders between the save and 1200.

I'm running Windows Vista. Is that the problem do you think???

It could be Vista. I don't have a Vista machine here and we don't claim to support it for that reason. It definitely works on our XP machines here.

Let's put aside that save game for a moment. Can you start a new TAP scenario from the start and see if you get past that point?

I've just run the scenario again, not doing anything to any of my units and got a CTD at 1200 on Day 2 again

Can someone else please try running this scenario, preferably on both an XP and a Vista machine to see if this is repeatable on anyone else's machine.

I'll try it on my desktop sometime in next couple of days - I've been running it on my laptop. The desktop is Vista too so can't help on checking how the scenario goes on other XP machines - hopefully someone else can.................

Another thought came to mind. The particular scenario file could be corrupted for some reason. I'll email you a replacement. Just unzip it and drag it to your Scenarios directory and answer yes when it asks if you want to replace the existing file. Then try it and see if that fixes the problem.

I would like to hear from some other user as to whether it crashes on their Vista machine at this point.

Another possibility is that your download was corrupted slightly. This is not likely but possible. I don't want to put you through the hassle of redownloading it and re installing it just yet.

So far we can confirm that it plays other scenarios fine and you have replaced the specific TAP scenario with the one I sent you. It still crashes on both your laptop and desktop machines at exactly 1200 on D2. Yet I have run the same scenario here and the same saved game on my XP machines and have no problems whatsoever.

If someone else with Vista can run the scenario past this point and likewise your saved game then I'd say its either hardware related or more likely a dud download.

Mine crashes at D3, 1800. Save game is on the way. I 'played' as Germans, but gave no orders, just let it run.

I've been getting occasional crashes in certain scenarios from pre-patch times. This one, Thermopylae, Iraklion historical, all at the top of the hour. I haven't checked those since the patch yet, but now I'm extra curious.

I just sent in an Iraklion saved game that crashes at D3, 0800. Curious thing - before this save game, I ran it once with the "run until" command set for D2, 0555. Did fine, and I saved it at that time. I kept it running and minimized it, and sometime later a CTD hit. Since I had it minimized, I wasn't sure when the CTD happened, so I loaded the saved game and re-ran it to establish the crash time. Every so often, I'd save so that I wouldn't have to re-run a whole bunch of time. Well, that time, it ran until the end without crashing. The game I sent you was started back in November, I never finished it due to this crash issue, and I was waiting to see if the patch would fix it. Apparently not, however it seems that if the autosave kicks in sometime after a re-load of a crashed game, but before the time of the crash, SOMETIMES it will prevent the CTD from occurring.
