problem with number validation after upgrade to new system

I upgrade my system recently. I saved Harpoon ANW in a CD and transfered all files to the new system, under C:/ directory. The problem is that when I press Harpoon ANW launcher and choose to harpoon.exec, it comes this message.

Try installing the product rather than just copying the files.

I bought Harpoon ANW downloaded version, apparently there´s no install file. There´s a setup file but when I executed seems it has nothing to do with Harpoon ANW. So, it´s still possible to download the game and get it working again?

The file you downloaded when you bought Harpoon is the one you have to use. For me it was called Harpoon3ANW-SetupRelease-v3700DR-final.zip. It is a zip file that contains a single executable that installs Harpoon ANW. That will get you version 3.7. After that, download the two updates to get to 3.8 and 3.9.

The 3.9 patch will work with versions 3.7 or later. You can skip the 3.8 patch.

I wonder I deleted this file and copy directly harpoon ANW from old system to the new one [8|]

This file would not be in your Harpoon program folder. It is what you used the very first time to install the game and when you downloaded it the Harpoon program folder did not even exist.

If you don't have it or can't find it, check with your account tools on the Matrix web site to see if you can re-download it. I don't know what their policy is regarding re-downloads. I think there was an option for some download insurance when I got my copy, but as I also ordered the physical copy I didn't bother checking details.

Try searching your entire hard drive(s) for H*.zip. That will search for any zip files starting with Harpoon or Har or H3, so if you still have the file it will find it.
