Buying The Combo Deal

Hi All,

How will one buy the combo. If digital will you download each game separately applying a bonus to one? Or will the download be both games together at one price?

I'll post more details on this tomorrow along with links. If you plan to buy the combo deal, do not purchase until you see those combo links show up.

In short though, it's like buying two games, but one of them is discounted if you buy them together. You still need to download each one and if you order the physical bundle you will be shipped two game boxes.

There's been a few threads about this, but basicly, if you have PCOWS installed when you install PC:K, then the PC:K install will also install the COWS maps, and upgraded scenarios into your PC:K game so will will then be able to play them from within PC:K using it's updated features as well as having the maps available for random games and campaigns.

I'm sure Erik or someone will correct me if this is incorrect.

That's correct - without Winterstorm, you still get all the Kharkov maps, scenarios and campaigns. If you have Winterstorm, install it first and Kharkov will also then include updated versios of the additional Winterstorm maps, scenarios and campaigns. This not only lets you play the Winterstorm scenarios and campaigns with the improved Kharkov features and improvements, but it also gives you a full set of Winter maps to use with the Random Battle and Random Campaign generators in Kharkov (which by default only comes with 1 Winter map, which can get a bit monotonous).

That's ok by me I don't like winter maps anyways. I like spring and summer maps and villages and bocages and hedges and church towers.

It just occurred to me that Kharkov actually increases the sales of the original Winterstorm as well.
The bundle trick works! I ignored Winterstorm because of the limited content but now I will buy Kharkov together with Winterstorm because of the additional content it provides.

In short, Kharkov is the main game while Winterstorm is the expansion. Not the other way around.

Is the bundle pack (Winsterstorm & Kharkov) already available?  I've looked at the Matrix Store & only Kharkov is for sale.  Or do I have to first buy Winterstorm & then buy Kharkov at a discount?
