Version not shown

I just bought the game two days ago, and have patched to version 5.0.1, and 5.0.2a. Neither patch displayed the correct version number in the game, as is always stayed as version 5.0.0. Is this normal, and if so perhaps you should think about displaying the proper version numbers in game so people can accurately know if the patches worked?

No, that's definitely not normal.  If the patch worked properly, the main menu screen should show the version number 5.0.2 directly below the game logo.  Also, if you check the errlog.txt file in the game directory, the very top of it should look like this:
