OT: On my way to work!

Post by Stridor »

Sometimes my paying job takes me all around NSW.

Today whilst driving through a small country town called Singleton I noticed this sitting in a park for this first time. So I just had to get out and have a look (despite the fact that I was already late AND the cops had just pinged me for speeding [:@]).

I am sure this kind of thing is common in the UK and US (WW2 equipment lying all around the place), but here in Oz it is a bit of a rare and serendipitous treat!

Here in the UK we use them to get through the traffic jams! [:D]
Play the game for more than you can afford to lose... only then will you learn the game.

Hi Stridor,

Was that taken in the Singleton infantry museum, or just some random place in Singleton?

It was sitting in a park off the highway.

I have seen the signs to the infantry museum, I should go there one day (when I get some time).

Very cool - I lost a couple of Panzer IIIGs to one of those the other day... [;)]

Every day on the way to grab a sandwich at my usual place for lunch, I pass by the local Vets' hall and they have a M60A3 sitting out front on a slab, in 1980s green/brown/black NATO Camo and with its gun pointing at the road. I keep thinking "man, I'd love to commute in one of those"!

Regards,

- Erik
