May I make a request pls?
It's a "little" annoying to have to acknowledge the display settings everytime I start the game up.
Is there any chance you can have the game remember the settings and have a utility for the user to change them should they need to?
It's only a small request, although as a developer I am sure it may well be much more than "small" when trying to make the change.
Just thought I'd mention it.

I agree. Not that big of a deal, but it would be nice to have it remember and not ask again.

Hm, it remembers mine - what settings is it forgetting for you?

Oh no...it remembers the settings.
My point is, I don't want to change the graphical settings once I've set them...so I don't want to see that screen when I start the game. Like I said....pretty minor point [:D]

Oh, now I get it - hm, the thing is if your settings changed or you changed monitors, then it would need to know that and reappear or you might be unable to run the game. I like the idea in general, but implementing it right to avoid situations where people lock themselves out of the game due to display settings could actually take a bit more effort. Added to the wish list.

I thought it wouldn't be so "simple" coding. That's why I suggested a utility on the main menu to execute the graphical settings menu...but as I said, I know the request is simpler than the implementation.
Thx for adding it to the wish list anyway....even next outing would be fine...I was just thinking out loud

OTOH how many times have I seen "how do I change my screen resolution" over at BFC's CM tech help forum.
Ever have one of those games or programs that changes your desktop resolution? Been a while, maybe that's a thing of the past.

You're OH is right, IMHO ... having the ability to change the resolution every time is a good thing.
I can see them add this feature though ... like we see those registration reminders come up ... choices :
1. Never remind me again
2. Remind me in two weeks
3. Remind me in 1 month
[:D] ... Dang it, I pressed option 2 and I need to change back now!! [:D]

I do understand the need for having the graphical options. I just thought, imo, it would've been better served as a popup when you first start the game, but also have a menu option along with all the other menu options on the startup screen.

Some games have a "settings.exe" or "config.exe" in the main folder which works nice too.

JD, during development we didn't have the first menu that you now see. You make sense in adding it to the menu.

All jokes aside ... yeah, very good idea!!
Like instead of a just a PLAY button ... have a PLAY/VIDEO option or your idea totally.

JD,
I have written a little startup script just for you, see the mods section.

Wouldn't another selection on the initial menu called 'configuration' be a good way to do this? Maybe right under 'Game Manual'?

On the subject of requests, is there any chance of including zoom-to-cursor on the mouse wheel? I've got used to that with a couple of other games and I think it would be tremendously useful in PzC.
