How do you like the Scenario Editor?

Post by z1812 »

Hi All,

Just wondering how easy the scenario editor is to use. Have many of you tried it?

The manual actually goes through it pretty well. Looks like some nice tools in there. I was able to make some quick edits to a random scenario and save it as a set battle pretty easily, just following the instructions.

I think to do a good job from scratch, I'd probably need to know the game better than I do.

I think the scenario editor long with the campaign editor are going to make this game have pretty good legs.

After you clear your head of how "other" editors work it's very good.

I've made my first scenario without alot of fanfare. The biggest issue I had was naming it vs the file name. Even that wouldn't have been so hard if I'd actually read what Stridor was telling me instead of how I thought it worked......duh.....

The rest is pretty easy.

That of course does not include anything to do with editing the map. That doesn't look so easy and you need outside software to do that. At least you do in PCK.

Good Hunting.

MR, I know you won't give up. Either you will find a way to make maps or ally with someone who can. Then you will be google earthing battlefields and creating battles with better maps than the other game.
