Morale Bonus? Berserk

Post by Mraah »

I read about Morale in the manual ... I'm not seeing any bonuses. I know you have Specail Abilities and awards and I'm thinking this covers it after the battle ... but I'm talking about right now ... you know, a temporary boost.

Are there any bonuses, or shall I say, extra "temporary" morale bonues for destroying enemy squads?

I mean, without modeling a complete psycological profile ... more on the lines of "berserk" or "immunity" where a squads adrenaline rush is overriding their ability to realize danger. This would, of course, wear off in a few phases/turns.

Would this fit in the game at all?

As always ... Thanks in advance!! [:)]

Nope, but you get a +10 to "Platoon Morale" as long as you have less than 25% losses.

There is a small chance that if platoon morale fails (and the platoon has less than 25% losses) that they will make an advance straight at the enemy, but it's extremely rare. Also, if their morale is poor and they've taken a fair number of losses, they can surrender. Far more likely are the results where they hunker down, lose current orders, halt or withdraw.

I'd always be willing to expand upon the existing morale system, as long as it remained realistic in effect.
