Links or Books about SA pilots

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Post by Hard Sarge »

Squadrons of the South African Air Force and their aircraft 1920-2005, by Steven McLean: ISBN 0-9584929-4-8

Good general history on each unit (location, a/c etc), but no detailed lists of C/Os or pilots, though many are mentioned in various actions.

SAAF OoB for 17Aug43 I sent you last year was made up from data taken from the book.

I think I paid £65 new but I believe it was only a limited print run, so getting hold of a copy may be very expensive, especially in $ terms.

It's on my list of things to do. As I say I've gone through and worked out the OoB but I've yet to go through each Sqn and make bio details on the pilots.

I lost all of that when my HD crashed

I was at least smart enough to have back up and work from my extranal drive for the game, but all my data was stored on my main HD
