Random Battle Generator Question 2

Post by rickier65 »

Random Battle Generator Questions.

1) In the Manual, section on the RBG, there is a screenshot of the RBG, but it doesn't have the line

Battle

which is on the RBG screen.

There is also no discusion of what Battle does, although there is in the addendum but doesnt seem to explain what I should see here.

Hitting the drop down, gives no other choices just Default Battle Plan. But, if I look in the Battles directory, I see a (default) entry, along with a bunch of other battle files that I assume are used in the campaign generator -

Is this something for future use?

Thanks

Rick

Yes, in effect that's for future use. Any battle plans that are set to showinmenu="true" will show up here, which allows us in the future to add in some historical semi-randomized battles. The battle plan also allows the RBG options to be limited (i.e. as far as points, reinforcement, minefields, etc.), whereas the default allows all of them to be set a desired.

OK, thanks Erik -- Now that I've had time to play, and to build a scenario, I thought I'd go back and try and undertand the tools that are already in the game.

Thanks

Great game by the way.
