Problem with Reg Settings still kicking in 1.01 beta

Title says it - with latest 1.01 beta patch (as of Apr 30) I still have a load freeze if I don't set my "regional settings" to US English. In the readme we have
"1. Fixed a registry key error that would cause a "Loading Interface" freeze on non-US regional settings systems"

I'm now sure that's a proof of US imperialism ! [:D]

Maybe you could tell us what's the reg key problem, I can fix it myself. [;)]

Is that on a clean installation? If the key was already created with non-US settings it could cause an issue.

Huh, 1.01 beta is a patch, I cannot uninstall v1.0 and install a "clean 1.01", I have to install 1.00 and patch to 1.01, so the problem will stay !

Based on my understanding of the problem in 1.00, it only occurs when a key is generated on the first launch of the game if you are on non-US settings. If you install the game and complete the first scenario launch on US settings, then even if you switch back to other settings after that it should work. Honestly, I thought 1.01d would fix it in any case, but I think it might be worth trying an uninstall in your case, then a clean reinstall of 1.00 (but don't launch the game) then update to 1.01d and launch the game then for the first time (in the regional settings of your choice.

If you're comfortable with RegEdit, to be sure you can delete the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Matrix Games/Panzer Command Kharkov and all the values under it before reinstalling.
