Target selection wish

Post by rickier65 »

Any chance that at some point there might ba a weay to cycle through the avaialbe targets that a unit has? I'm finding a spend more than a little time checking out potential long range targets for tanks.

Since the "coins" fade out at long distance, I have to zoom about half way across the map then rotate around to check out potential targers.

Aor maybe there's a better approach? I would let the units select target, but it seems like they tend to select a "average" shot on enemy infantry over a "poor" shot on enemy tank or AT gun. And I prefer to have my tanks and AT guns focus on Tanks even if they have a poorer shot at them.

thanks,
Rick

Hi Rick,

I've noticed the same thing with tanks shooting infantry rather than other tanks.

As far as auto-targeting, your own vehicles and infantry will never take a "poor shot" by themselves. If allowed to auto-target, they will take "average" or "good" shots only. Vehicles and guns do have targeting priority for other vehicles instead of infantry, but that doesn't override the fact that they won't take a "poor shot". It's never more than 40 seconds before you can adjust their targets yourself though, but "poor shots" are usually a waste of ammo.
