Q on digital download

i purchased AT today, just the digital version. i want to burn to a disk-should i burn the zip or the .exe file?

I think that you are perfectly fine with just burning the *.exe file. From what I've been told, the only reason why the *.exe file is placed within a *.zip file is because some systems do not allow users DL access to files named *.exe. Placing them within a *.zip file seems to get around this problem.

Another reason is that it makes it more easy to detect a corrupt download - if you can't extract the exe from the zip it's a corrupt download but if you downloaded an exe straight there's no easy way of telling if the download succeeded or not
