Awaiting battle file messages

Hey guys:

I would like as much info as possible on the awaiting battle file states if you can.
If you would please try to tell me what type of battle it was and the outcome.
i.e. France laid siege to Munich and won the battle, etc.

In the game you repaired for us the Battle for Karlsruhe occurred in Jan, 1805. France was the attacker and GB was the defender. I believe the Baden corps was set up in the city, but I don't recall for certain. France won the battle and conquered Baden in Feb. The game crashed because of the battle file bug during the French land phase in April 1805.

For ours they have all been siege battles as far as I know. In our most recent game, a siege battle in Lisbon (Spain vs Portugal controlled by France) led to our current stoppage. I beleive it was March 1805, and the current turn is May 1805, it is the Spanish Naval Phase and he cannot proceed due to this.

I had this 1-2 times depending how one defines waiting for battlefile.
 
As Austria i been attacked 2 times so far by France, where a file exchange was used.
1.battle was land combat, at Zurich, was Charles and some 4-6 Corps, vs Bernadotte. Charles won, and once he send his result file back for the round France broke, France loaded this, and continued his combat-phase. Leaving Austrias savegame waiting for battlefile. Since no battlefile to recieve Austria deleted battlefile manually.
and the savegame stopped asking when loading French landcombat pbm file.
 
Couple months later, another battle happend this time at Metz, Austria with 2 corps(was due to another bug, since one was in town but its been bugreported already), anyway, to try work around the bug(bit hard to explain but this was important to me France not to loose my factors in open combat, when i had surender if breach set), we decided to pull a Withdraw vs French Cordon for fairness. 
France send battlefile, Austria loads and sends his.
Again game continues for Austria savegame to request battlefile Metz, while French savegame has deleted the battlefile, and finished his land combat phase, again once Austria loads the French land combat phase pbm file, game stops requesting Metz battlefile. Again since no battlefile to recieve Austria deletes battlefile manually.
 
Now during the last phase of this Month Spain gets run by AI, since the normal player is not able to.
After loading this, Austria savegame again requests Metz battlefile, this is this time seemingly cancelled after loading French diplomacy pbm file.
 
Somehow to me it seems the game sets some flags, when AI or backups is run by EIANW.
 
I would think this could be a major problem if  the file sequenze, risks having the same request for battlefile, during a MP's own turn.  Since you are can not load someones elses pbm file if you are the nation to play your phase.
Especially if host is involved this could get tricky.

Ah; they have the upload problems fixed.

Here is another game with the "awaiting battle file" that needs to be
fixed. The pw for France is "heaven"

The battle was in Linz during the previous Austrian Land/lc phase (we
are now up to the Austrian reinforcement of the next month).

Linz was Charles w/10 Austrian corp vs Nappy w/6 French corp
Battle lasted 2 days & ended with a French victory (Austria successfully
sued for peace in the dp phase of the next month).
The 1st day was (Austria)Assualt vs (French)Defend with no breaks
the 2nd day was (Austria) Assualt vs (French)Outflank - successful on the 2nd
round of combat & Austria broke at that point

Marshall - could you fix this so that we can continue. Thanks.
(Hopefully you can get 1.03 out & we won't have to keep bothering you for this).

marshall...another game stopper one here...france and england fought in la rouchelle, battle files were exchanged and months later, the french cannot complete their turn. here is my backup file. please correct as this is vital and we have already restarted!

I did get the fix for the CleverDevils2 game & the player that was having the problem has posted his
turn & we are now running again.

Out of interest, has anyone noticed whether the forces in the city only appeared to be in the City in the large map view, but when you go down to the lower middle view box, are mistakenly shown to be as "besieging units". Is this only happening in cities that were previouslt occupied by other powers.

We had a similar error in our game (emailed to Marshall by soapy Frog), which also involved a missing seige combat file. However, I also noticed that the forces dispatched to the city were shown as "beseiging units" even though there was no one in the city to beseige.

Alsi this happened in the month between the city was captured and the control flag for the minor country switched sides. Does this error only occur in cities where the minor nation/ province is controlled by another power?
