First time PBEM'er looking for IJ opponent - CLOSED

Post by whippleofd »

I graduated College in May, and I feel I am ready to give PBEM a go.

I would like to play Allies using Big B’s 1.4 w/AB’s extended map. (Scenario 192).

Both Sub Doctrines OFF
Fog of war ON
Advanced weather effects OFF
Allied Damage Control ON
PDU ON
Vary Set-up/Reinforcements OFF
7 Dec surprise ON
One day turns.

I want to play WITP and not War in Asia (and the land combat system is FUBAR), so I propose the following:

1) You want China, you can have it.
2) I will move the China Command units to Chungking, Tsuyung, Kunming and Chengtu. You can not attack the units or the cities.
3) Each occupied Chinese City (Hong Kong included) must maintain a 1 Div or 3 brigade garrison with enough support to keep the city out of the red. The rest of the IJA/IJAF is free to leave.
4) Russia will remain inactive so the Manchukuo garrison must be maintained in Manchukuo.
5) Japanese forces will not enter or attack into any Burma or India Hex’s. Allies will not use any Burma or India Hex’s to stage attacks from. Indian units must stay in India.

House Rules:

1) Max 8 PT’s per TF and Max 3 PT TF’s per hex
2) Train pilots by attacking real targets...no attacking abandoned bases or supply training
3) Use PPs on Kwangtung/China Command units that are moved out of Manchuria/China
4) LCU stacking: 30,000 defenders on an atoll and 75,000 max on one hex island
5) No invasions by subs
6) ASW TF max of 6 ships
7) AC stacking: 50x base size
8) AC that transfer greater than 9 hexes must rest one turn before conducting any air operations
9) No naval bombing with B-29s
10) 4E city bombing attacks above 15,000 feet during the day
11) Invasions and paratroop landings only at base/dot hexes
12) No cutting(resetting) land movement of land stacks with small units or fragments of units
13) No city bombing attacks from or against Chinese bases
14) Dutch units may not be moved out of the DEI - not even fragments (They would not have left - period)
15) Philippine units may not be moved out of the Philippines (as above)
16) Canadian units may only operate in Canada, Alaska, and the Aleutians unless the Japanese invade Australia/NZ.
17) Victory conditions to be determined, but AE’s going to come out before we finish, so let’s just play on.
18) If you use the magic move on the first turn you are required to use the defined opening with no additional TF formation. Exception: if you don’t move IJN CV’s east of Wake then you can magic move as you see fit.
19) Allies can form new TF’s but are limited to one hex movement on turn one.
20) No taking advantage of the “free pilots” bug on day one by either side.

I have no intention of quitting due to losses, sucky decisions on my part or brilliant decisions on my opponents part.

Please contact me via PM if interested, or for discussion.
