No, we didn't include this feature. It would be a nice addition, but we felt we should focus our programming/graphics energies on other aspects of the game.

I would love to see this also, but guess not

if a protectorate, the units will have there flag overlapping the Nation that is protecting them, but if it is a conquered province, it will have the flag of the Nation that owns it
