Graphics Glitch

Post by osiris_slith »

Hi

When I load any sandy coloured truck it defaults to dark grey instead of sandy camo colour. I ve tried copying over the BMP file dark grey truck files with sandy colour trucks and it still goes grey

i removed the dark grey coloured trucks bmp file and I removed all of them and as soon as you a load sandy colour truck it defaults to dark grey..

Finally SS Panzer grenadier 44 platoons .do not highlight green and are extremely difficult to see and manipulate

great game but the graphics updates have been the most frustrating piece so far

I think I might know what's going on. At least, maybe a place to start looking.

Look for an Mp file with the same number as the Up file of the unit in question. For example, in EF, a German truck (Up1062) has an Mp1062 file. When the truck is empty, it uses the Up file; when loaded, it changes to the Mp file. You would have to remove the Mp file; don't delete it, just move it out of the main folder. You may want to use it later.

It's also possible that the Mp file is in the "Special" folder. Without knowing the exact unit (i.e., Pxxxxx) and which game, I can't tell you for sure.

As for the SS Pzgr 44 platoon, that looks to be a new graphic. I checked and there's no Opxxxxx.bit file for that unit. Your choices are to make one yourself or find a different graphic for that unit and then copy and rename the new Upxxxxx and Opxxxxx.bit files.

I took a second look at the SS Pzgr 44 graphic, and I think it's the same as Finland's Jaeger platoon but with a different color scheme. If I'm right, then you can copy Op05209.bit and rename it Op01205.bit; that should give you an outline when the unit is selected.

Hi

I ve been just copying and pasting over the bmp files in the special folder seems to work except for the trucks...I ll try taking the 1062 file and bit files out..

I think im going to leave it to Matrix to fix this one..trucks turning dark grey and/or with the canvas up when loaded are a nice sign to PBEM players that your trucks have goodies in them and they will react accordingly and blast them to pieces..

thanks for the help

HI

Taking out the Mp01062 and Mp01062 bit file solved the problem! whooohooo! I put the files in a folder for future use if matrix chooses to fix this issue with an interim patch between now and 1.04

thanks!

Another small graphic glitch:

Unit P10031 M4 Sherman DD's bit file does not line up with the 3-D graphic in game.
