AI problems in 1.16

Post by von altair »

I have seen that there is some problems with AI.

Readiness is always very low on AI units. I am not quite sure, which causes it, but these two things comes to my mind:

- AI seems to transfer units back and forward between units and that will reduce readiness. It can also be, that AI units doesn't suffer readiness penalty at all, in that case I mayby wrong. But if they do, there should be option to turn that penalty off from AI.

- In my test games without FoG option I have seen several HQ without any supply and then few with like 6000-12000 supply. Mayby AI doesnt have enough skills to form supply chain with the right HQ (main HQ with supply reserves, when they create new HQ).

Mayby its something else. Whatever it is, something causes lack of readiness penalty for AI units.

First of all, sorry about my delayed answer. I have been enjoying about summer, girls and holiday cabin!

This problem occurs actually in quite many scenarios. Its easy to catch up without FoG on.
AI seems to move units back and forward between units. As soon as Ai creates a unit which is beyond stack limits, it should be untouched until it gets enough casualties and needs more reinforcements. Readiness penalty for AI should be removed (optional by Rulevar), when it transfers units.

There is some strange problem with AI, after it buys a new HQ. Looks like it can't form supply line with other HQ:s. I am not sure, if supply from production goes correctly to 1st HQ, which then spreads them to other HQ:s. Looks like supply sometimes goes to 2nd or even 3rd HQ in chain and others will lack supply then.

I can also be wrong, but thats what my tests shows out.

I believe the 1.1.6 patch can only be downloaded from your Matrix Games account/private downloads.
