no corps inside a city?

Empires in Arms is the computer version of Australian Design Group classic board game. Empires in Arms is a seven player game of grand strategy set during the Napoleonic period of 1805-1815. The unit scale is corps level with full diplomatic options

no corps inside a city?

Post by polarole »

hi folks,

i observed some strange behaviour and like to know if its intended?

i got control of portugal and chose to take the corps and wanted to put it inside of lisabon via the move inside city button. the corps had the box/square icon which i assume shows its inside the city?
when the aggressor to portugal moved this corps was engaged into normal field combat without a siege like it has not been inside the city.
is it impossible in the pc game for corps to stay in cities?

thanks and bye

It should be possible as long as there is room for the unit??? Your situation does sound a bit odd. I have not seen that before. Can you reproduce this?

hi,

i am currently not able to reproduce it, but i will keep an eye on it and tell you when it happens again.
btw. if i have a fleet in an empty port and like to pick up a corps during naval phase it has to be inside the city right? so if it doesnt fit into the city its not possible to pick it up?

bye

I don't believe that it has to be inside the city.

Neverman is correct. The corps should not have to be in the city to be picked up.

hi,

the problem with picking up the corps was my fault, it seemed to be a capacity problem. i am still not used to those new naval rules.
maybe it would be nice to have some different error msg, like not enough transport capacity...

I had a similar problem with not being able to put the GB cav corps into Brest at the end of its move. Marshall you already have this file (ferdinand).

Looks like this may have been a simple capacity issue.
I still have your game but we have been unable to dup the moving into siege then YOU yourself being named in the city and as being besieged. That was the same game, correct?

Thank you
