Turn 2 - As I am playing the axis. The night is still with the echos of treads in the distance. The chill in the air. I think I will let the boys rest a bit more. they will need their rest when the shells start to fall.

Oh dear an AAR... now I have to come up with a clever battle plan... instead of something simple...

My boys are waiting in anticipation. They are weary of the inactivity on this front. It is cold yes but the fire from that russian armor will warm our bones!

Huib is comming and comming strong on my left. I managed to take out 3 bt 70 with my pak and eng unit. A couple of squads were knocked out as well. He has heavy armor bearing down my throat. I hope re-enforcements come soon. It is tense. Faint sparks from small arms lights up the noght sky. He is paving his advance with star shells. hmmmm. I have not used any as yet. Could there be a trap for Huib?

Hey barker,

Do you think you could save a few screenshots to post after your game is finished?

Sure, bring it on! I just did an AAR for the first time. I have to say it added an extra dimension to the game. I felt more immersed in the scenario, but it is a lot of work. I guess that explains why more people don't do it.

Well the battle is still raging. His T 34 i guess is rolling over like I was not there. He has very good assault tactics. Surround and overwelm. He went for the closest VP location to setup and pushed. If I had setup at the beginning I would have placed my troops differently then what was on board. He used starshells as though the supply was infinite. Heavy armor and infantry is hard to overcome in the later rounds. But in the bright spot my engineer units are superb in defense at night the normal infantry not so much.......more to follow
