Wasnt sure if this belonged here or in the War Room, but here goes anyway...

Ive been playing around with the editor recently, just trying to peice togeather a deeper understanding of how the game works..

1 - Torpedo Defences on ships;
How are these determined? Is it based on the ship class in the editor (BB/CA/CL)? Is it based on Durability or Belt Armour?
Is this why its better to keep Alaska class as a CA, because it lacked TDS? Also considering the TDS on refitted older ships such as the Kongos was nowhere equal to say, the US North Carolinas, would reclassifying them as BCs reduce this effect, if it is indeed based on class?

2 - Ship Manueverability - I found a topic discussing this from before, but just wanted to bring it up. Its stated to be a function of length, but speed also needs to be considered. What about ship size? (I noticed this because the Yamato has a rating of 20, which could only be explained through that.) Lastly - We know damage decreases speed, but does it also affect manuever?

Maneuverabilty should be a function of turning radius. Some ships are horrible, others great - and not strictly based on size.
Number of props and rudders is a factor - as is the presence of other steering or propulsion devices - and the shape of the hull
also is very siginficant. These things are probably best objectively measured by turning radius.

Speed is a form of maneruverabilty but it is also treated as a separate field - and likely is handled properly by code already.
Maneuverability is probably "ability to turn" - and maybe to a lesser extent "ability to accelerate."
