Battle report...

Post by tarendelcymir »

Been a while since anyone posted one, so I figured I'd try to inject a little more life into the forum. <img src="smile.gif" border="0">
Had a little battle with Pete Y in the classic map, but 40% woods, water and hills. Average ability jocks, light solo titans.
Pete Y in a Mirage (with GMs and LRMs); I had a Tempest (BRG and ML)
Pete tried to keep at a distance, popping off missiles, first in the hills, then across a small lake. Had a good couple of early hits from cover, damaging my right leg. I used the excellent jump capability of the Tempest to close in and Pete tried to run across the plain to more hills; I shot him a few times as he went, causing damage to one leg, arms and torso. I caught up as he crouched in a wooded valley in the hills; Most of my shots missed, but the few that hit hurt, and I eventually set his woods on fire. He tried to get up and flee, but my BRG knocked him down, so, when at last he got out of the fire, ammo meltdown was starting; and massive ammo explosions soon finished him off.
Thanks for the game, Pete.
We sometimes catch a window
A glimpse of what's beyond
Was it just imagination
Stringing us along?
More things than are dreamed about
Unseen and unexplained
We suspend our disbelief
And we are entertained

Yes, that was fun; my first public battle. Blood on the hills! Thank you very much.
Any more battles going on?
