PBEM dice rolling?

World in Flames is the computer version of Australian Design Group classic board game. World In Flames is a highly detailed game covering the both Europe and Pacific Theaters of Operations during World War II. If you want grand strategy this game is for you.

PBEM dice rolling?

Post by Cheesehead »

I was just wondering if there will be anything to prevent a dishonest player from re-loading a turn and playing it over if he gets a bad dice roll on a critical attack? I would like to see something similar to what the ACTS online dice roller does in which e-mails are sent to all players after every roll, showing the result of each roll.

Thanks

John

Random events (die rolling and drawing chits) will be handled by a small utility program (eMWIF) running on a third party's computer (Matrix will make one available, but any third party will do). When a random number is needed, the program will go out over the internet to access eMWIF. The resulting random number(s) will be emailed to the other player so his game can be kept up-to-date. The requesting player player will get his answer(s) via the same email.

It is my understanding that this or something similar is what will happen.
