Battle generation problems

I'm patched to the latest using Vista.

Campaigns and Scenarios work but when I try to create a random battle the map is blank (all black). Anybody any ideas?

Last time I tried it I was using XP about 2 years ago and I did get a map but never played a game due to the poor random generator.

Fixed it. Installation on Vista had resulted in some files/folders being classied as read only. Changed them to read/write now it works.
