Auto Supply

I just started a new game and as of 12/9/41 I do not see the icon to set auto supply for bases. If I load saves from a previous game the icon is there. When should I see the auto supply icon for this game? Note that I have modified the scenario database, but other games with the same database do show the auto suppply icon.

I'm not sure what you mean by "auto supply icon". Are you talking about "daily supplies", that arrive every day at some map edge bases like Karachi or San Francisco? If so, there's no icon for daily supplies, just a slash and a number behind "Supplies" in the base screen.

The manual calls it the "auto convoy" icon. It allows you to set automatic supply convoys for bases.

1. What happens when you press 'h'?

2. IIRC the scenario must be set to "production on" for auto convoys.

3. Many, many players have made bad experiences with the auto convoy system, especially because of dumb TF routing by the AI. Are you sure you don't want to run your economy yourself? Just a heads up...

I did some experimenting and discovered that setting production off causes the problem. Thanks for your note which also identified the problem. I want to use auto convoy for rear bases, but I'm looking forward to AE and hoping it will sovle a lot of problems.
