About the Digital Download

Birth of America 2: Wars in America is the much expanded reprise of veteran developer AGEOD’s acclaimed first release, which allows players to command either side of the conflicts before, during and after the American War for Independence between 1636 and 1815. Apart from the engaging turn-based strategy play that has been expanded and vastly improved over the original, Birth of America 2: Wars in America includes major new features like an improved and expanded map including the Mississippi River, new European off-map boxes (France, Great Britain, Spain, Holland) and more.

About the Digital Download

Post by KG Erwin »

It took me two tries (I have a cable connection). The first try stopped at 66%, so I had to restart. It took a grand total of three hours. So, exercise some patience, guys.

Having to restart the download of a game can happen but 3 hrs? What kind of 3 legged tired camel cable connection do you have? More important what kind of system and CPU are you using. I have a fast Mediacom cable connection and a system that runs a AMD 4400 x2 CPU & SLI with 2 7950 KO video cards, 2 MB of RAM and is slightly above average speed and took maybe 20 minutes? or so to download games larger than this one so something is wrong here. Both could have been related to lots of sewrver traffic at the time of the download but I doubt it.

Has this slow rate of download happened before? If so you might consider a change of cable providers as taking that much time is not good. Also are you sure the cable is digital when downloading.
