How many turns per campaign battle?

The highly anticipated second release in the Panzer Command series, featuring an updated engine and many major feature improvements. 3D Tactical turn-based WWII combat on the Eastern Front, with historical scenarios and campaigns as well as support for random generated battles and campaigns from 1941-1944.

How many turns per campaign battle?

I have been slamming my head against a wall trying to win as German in Mcensk 41. How many turns are in this first fight. After I end this battle, do I move on to the next battle in this campaign?
So far I find that I cannot get any lucky kills on the KVs and they just shoot up all of my tanks. Frustrating.

That probably isn't good for sales, psychology wize: It frustrates noob to the point of quitting all. [I don't mean Tooazl is a noob]

Conversely Panther slaughters are a little too easy for those that like everything 'more challenging, more challenging'. [These jaded types should take up bungy jumping --they're never going to get their need met playing vid games.]

MkIVF/Gs in nice 4unit, 3pltn cpns vs T'34s in 5unit, 3pltn cpns -- _+ surprises_ [Aslt Gns etc] (with some Inf supp/attacks) is what the noob should get; the stock game ironically lacks those straight-up engagements.)

The short answer to your question though is at 30 ish turns the Russians will rack up serious bonus points each turn.

In real life you would pull out and tell HQ "yep, we found 'em". (HQ would then evaluate... Multi prongs around, possib with airsupport; just air strikes; or full withdrawal to tell politicians "you go do it".

Are you talking about the first fight of the Mcensk campaign or the scenario which is named Voin is the third battle of the campaign? Because their are only KVs in the 3rd battle.
In that one I advance my tanks until the KVs start coming in shooting. Then retreat all the way back to cover from the 88's and 105mm. The KVs and T34s will come after me. Then those big guns generally take out a good number so the few remaining KVs can be swarmed.

Nope, I am talking about the Mcensk 41' campaign. I am playing the first battle. I was doing well until the KVs arrived. Despite flank shots with APCR and HEAT at a decent range, the AI refuses to let these guys die. So, I am treating this as a proving ground for tactics. I am now approaching this one as one would a "level" in a FPS. Save, get clobbered, resume save and try something else. Now I am getting a bit pissed, but I am determined to advance to the next battle in this blasted campaign. Grrrr![:@]

Oh I guess there are KVs in this scenario. They must be a recent addition.[&:]

Actually, they should be KV-1 Model 1940 or 39s, but the models weren't done in time for the scenario design. I should update this scenario for the next patch. Come to think of it the cover illustration KV is a model 1939 so maybe some KV 1939s should appear somewhere in the game.

I think the best way is to drive a force toward the center and one to the right. You should be able to get some flank shots on them. They arrive late in the game so closing in on the flags early will get in close.

The Mcensk campaign is not intended for novice players. Perhaps we should add a warning - it seems like a lot of folks are just playing the campaigns in chronological order.

The easiest campaigns are probably the Kharkov and Winterstorm German campaigns if you want a place to start, or some of the historical random campaigns with reinforcements set to Maximum and HQ Help used as needed.

I tried this scenario today to find a strategy. As usual I went up the middle and right. I use my artillery on the small farm in the center and cleared that in about 6 turns. Then I brought up the tanks in lines to near the edge of the plowed region. If you don't move to far each turn a one or two new 45mm show themselves. Your lines of tanks can take these out 4 or 5 to one.
 
Once the guns are silenced the next step it to slowly clear out the dugin paratroopers in the center. Send the halftracks to the left to secure the flag there.
 
Finally getting to the far road about turn 12 or 13. Some T34s may be already in the woods. Usually a wide line of your tanks can hit them at close range from more than one side. I only saw 3 T34s by the end of the game. I won Legendary turn 16.
 
If you get to the flags fast enough the KVs don’t even appear.

I played it again and offer more clarity AND a mission battle started from the halfway mark so one can focus on the KVs (and T-34s).
