Team Profile Creator

Post by Tullius »

I have written a little tool which makes team profiles. A screenshot shows how it works. You can download it here:

Team Profile Creator

The game is written in Visual Basic 2008. You need the Microsoft Net Framework 3.5 version which you can find here:

Microsoft Net Framework 3.5

Without these files an installation will be not possible.

Visual Basic 2008

I use the gratis Express Edition by Microsoft. It is almost identical to the Visual Studio Edition but you have some limits. So i can choose only the "One Click" methode to make a setup file.

I tried to run it and got an error:

Unable to install or run the application.  The application requires that assembly System.Core Version 3.5.0.0 be installed in the Global Assembly Cache (GAC) first.

I'm using Vista.

I have a problem with this program..I make the file and go to save it, and it says the profile's been created, but I can't find the saved file in the spot where I saved it.

Windows has the function "search files ...". Did you used it ? My files are saved in the folder
c:\matrix\maximum-football v2\TeamProfiles. You can choose the folder before you save the file. When you choose a folder then the file should saved in this folder.

I have tested it again - different files, different folder - no problem. Perhpas you can describe what you do step by step.

Yes, I did that...but then even Windows couldn't find the file when I did the search.

But like I said, I got around it. It might be a Vista thing.
