Mac version

Post by agm »

Is there a Mac version of WITP? (There doesn't appear to be from the Matrix website).

If not, has anyone tried to play the game with one of the PC mirror programs for Macs, and how well has that worked?

Thanks.

There are some people who use PC emulators and they've said that it works well.

I've been testing AE on my Mac using Bootcamp...I tried Parallels but the memory strain is too great.

But a reboot into a separate Windows Vista partion using boot camp works fine.

Works great using XP Home as a virtual machine using VMWare Fusion. I use an early 2008 macbook pro. My only complaint is that I need to juggle the video settings to get it to use the maximum screen realeastate. Other than that it works better than on my PC.

I'm late to the party here, my first post so here goes:

I've only just discovered WitP a couple weeks ago.
I've been playing it on XP under Parallels on a 2.16GHz Mac Book Pro. Runs fine. Just make sure to set virtual machine screen resolution to 1024 x 768 and do not try to run it in full screen mode.

Treespider, were you using Parallels version 3 or 4 to run AE? I would really really really like it if I could run it from Parallels v4 (which can do up to 265MB Video RAM and up to 8GB RAM if you have it).

I accept that the game will run better on native windows and am willing to be patient if AE runs "slowly" on Parallels.

cheers
