Differences from HC 2002?

This new Commander's Edition of Harpoon Classic includes land units, neutral and unknown sides, an improved radar and area ECM model and a host of other improvements. Rounding that out are over 200 scenarios and the WestPac Battleset. Try out this great new version of the classic Harpoon!

Differences from HC 2002?

Post by RyanCrierie »

I have the old HC 2002 Gold, along with some of the WESTPAC Betas from back when AGSI was selling this game directly to the public without a distributor. So what are the major changes between this and this version?

Harpoon Classic Scenarios

Post by hermanhum »

* Area ECM works.  Hide entire strike groups behind a Prowler.
* Reduced RCS and sound signatures make planes/subs very stealthy
* Database editor so that you can customize your own
* Battleset builder allows you to make scenarios in any part of the world
* Individual SAM/AAA units can be added to bases instead of having being inherent

Herman sums it up well.  I'd make sure to plug the continual database updates since the HC Gold days as being very important as well.
