Mod Art

Post by Splinterhead »

Has there been any thought to including art for or at least placeholder art for the developers' proposed mod in AE. Since people will probably begin modding immediately it might be nice to know that ship files XXX-YYY will be used in the developers' mod and that the Liz will be at plane slot ZZZ, so that players don't have to swap out multiple art files to play different mods.

Great idea, but then it might also serve to let the rest of us know what they are including in AE.Might be more than what we mortals can handle, mentally.

There are many slots left open in AE.  The databases were expended quite a bit.  There are no areas specifically set aside for modders, but modders are free to do whatever they want with the databases in their own mods.

It has been expected since the start that the modder community will want to do their thing with AE, so consideration has been given to that all along the line.
