HELP!!!

I had a worm on my hardrive and had to install TOAW3 on another drive. My installation is showing error 200 which I believe relates to an incorrect serial. I simply copied and pasted it from my folder. I'm trying to enter the matrix support but it's asking me to sign in(which I obviously already am) and then won't accept my login.

Have you uninstalled TOAW from the previous drive? Mayby the two version of the program cause some trobles with the serial

Yep, I'd say the same thing. If you didn't uninstall your first TOAW then it's probably showing up in your reg. You might have to go in and find everything relating to TOAW and uninstall it. Try using add/remove programs first and see if TOAW is there. Uninstall and then do a file search and see what shows up under TOAW. You might have to go in and remove each one. Hope this helps. Thanks for your help, but I'd really like to hear from Matrix before I start uninstalling my game. There's another issue; that even though I can log in to the forums, and my username is in use, I cannot log in to Matrix support unless I re-register from another computer. My apologies to my 2 opponents, but since I cannot access my address book, I cannot email them. It's been 5 days. We'll just have to see how long it takes.

Have you run an anti virus? If not go to mcafee and run theirs. After that I'm betting your either going to have to use a reg cleaner or reinstall windows. Hope this helps.

You must edit manually your Windows Registry (regedit) or uninstall-reinstall TOAW.

Thank you all for your help. Since I can't uninstall from a slave drive, I deleted all the files from both drives. After reinstallation, the game did intall successfully, but failed to launch because of a missing file 'audiere.dll'. I then reinstalled, same problem. I then re-unpacked the zipped file and I'm finally back to 'error 200'.

Note -I did replace the graphics, Alt graphics, scenario and saves folders with the old ones

Strange. Have you heard from support yet? I think JMass has it right. You might need to find a program that can remove those pesky reg files or do like JMass said and go in and remove them yourself. What have you got to loose? I think if you type in regedit in the run program you can get to them. Just remember to be careful about what you remove. Cheers!

Well I've finally been able to get through to support as the address was right on the error window. Apparently my forum name differs from my support name. Hopefully things will happen now.

I got a response this morning. I'll check it out tomorrow. It's too late tonight. Error 200 mentioned something about my serial code, though it seems from those with technical knowledge to have more to do with rewriting over an old installation without first uninstalling. Hopefully I can soon get back to playing. Finding my pbem opponents without their email addresses could be trouble since their names I remember but not their handles. Hopefully they'll email me wondering what's taking so long if they don't see my post at RD.
