Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

that the testers can start to write some AARs of there HW battles

in my current run, I got what should be some major battles with the Ossites comeing up (I don't write Austria correctly too often, so other testers wanted me to come up with a name that they would understand who I was talking about, we settled on Ossites for them)

so, I should be able to do a little AAR on my next war when it starts, one question I got, is what are you interested in ?

the Ossites have moved massive amounts of troops towards the borders of the peaceful French Nation, which has caused a state of war to be declared

(I am waiting for some clearance of reporting rules from Gil, before I start writing anything, but the info is being gathered now)

As Hard Sarge said, detailed combat is now complete enough for a public unveiling. We'll all the sharing of naval combat as soon as those graphics are done, and AAR's of the strategic game as soon as some game-balance issues are resolved.

Just trying to toy with all of you who are eager for the game but won't be able to buy it for some time. This is what you get for not heeding my calls for beta-testers! [:D]
Michael Jordan plays ball. Charles Manson kills people. I torment eager potential customers by not sharing screenshots of "Brother Against Brother." Everyone has a talent.

If you can find the time, Sarge, I would love to see an AAR from a brigade level battle.
Also, if you could comment a little (more) on the loss rates in a typical battle (losses seemed rather high in your first AAR - 55.000 casualties for the Ossites...!)
And I would also love to know a bit more about the new pursuit phase - sounds like a good idea, as the pursuit phase could easily get a little tiresome and gamey in both COG and FOF. What affects the outcome of a pursuit phase (i.e. how random is it) and how different do the outcomes get? Are the possible outcomes (number of casualties) balanced after historical values or purely after in-game mechanics...?
regards,

Briny

let me get into better details tomorrow, it is late for me here

but first off, for the battles, remember, these are Major Battles, both sides have been sitting here for 18 months getting ready for them, most battles are more in the 10-15,000 losses, and the Army sizes are normally much smaller

I was hopeing for a smaller battle to give the Brig size battle a run, those two battles would of been monsters on that scale

the end phase is random, but, there are tactics you can get, to improve, or weaken the chances, and it depends alot on the type of troops

It is a pity that is not possible to view, how many man was participated in battles ... it would be useful especially for PBEM battles, where detailed battles are not possible. It is same like in CoG I
Excuse my English ... I hope is better then Your Czech ... 8-)
