UV and vista 64 home?

Post by bigbaba »

hi all,

i finaly got a new PC with windows vista 64 home on it and it seems that this causes some problems with UV. the problem is: i simply can not find my PBEM savegames. i mean, i download the savefiles, i put them in the save directory like with my old PC and when i start the game, one of the following things happens:

-the savegames are simply not in the savegame menu.
-i start the saved game, play my turn, save my turn and when i want to send the turn to my opponent, the files are simply not in the savegame folder.

anyone else outside with problems like that with a solution?

thanks all.

Yes I had the same problem. You have to change the security settings for the UV save file. The savegames are there but with the default settings they are invisible for the standerad user.
- Go to the Save folder
- right click and choose "Eigenschaften"
- choose "Sicherheit"
- choose "Benutzer" and click on "bearbeiten"
- activate all optoions under "zulassen"

Hope that helps
