Deleted forum posts

I´m just curious, why there are some posts from several forum members are deleted.
Its the 2nd time in approximately 6 weeks.

A few posts in the release thread were deleted by myself to keep that topic clean and on the mark.  It should have been a closed topic when it was put up.  It was basically maintenance.
 
I started a new topic for those wishing to make comments along the line of what was being asked or stated in that thread.
 
As most of the community members know, I generally do not delete many posts, and I try not to censor threads unless there are major rules being broken.  This community does a good job of staying on topic, so it has not been a problem.
 
A couple weeks ago, I did remove some personal attacks from a thread, and the posters were told why.  Again, this was to keep the thread on topic and not allow it to be degrated into a pissing war.
 
As always, I believe feedback is important, so please keep posting.

By the way, I usually move posts over to the new thread.  In this case, I got knocked offline (which happens way to much) by the board when trying to post the moved posts and lost the posts to the bit bucket.

No problem.

As you know, I highly encourage community members to post observations, feedback, and constructive criticism.  Because of that, I likely let some threads go a little too far, but for the most part even flare-ups tend to cool down quickly.

It is a general rule of thumb for myself and Matrix Games not to delete posts unless they break the rules.  Most of the long time community members may recall that this board was getting a bit out of hand before I came aboard, so I had to reel in some rulebreakers back then, but the board has been pretty clean and friendly since.

As I stated, the posts in question here were way off topic and were lost while being moved to the new thread.  It was only a half dozen posts or so and almost all of them have been reposted to new threads.
