Is anyone seeing QB's even sniff a 50% completion rate?

Hmmm Absolutely I see it at 50%+ a lot in my simulated games

In the CFL League
Novak 74.31%
Ricky Ray 72.39%
Chris Simms 72.31%
Henry Burris 69.40%
Jarious Jackson 74.31%

So I'm seeing a lot of it, possibly too much actually.

In the CIS League
Fonua 72.73%
Ed Sanchez 72.92%

etc. etc.

So in the sim games I see quite a bit of 60% completions going on...

Now when I watch games it's a little different, probably about 50-56% on average.

I'll have to check back with MBSports first
he sent me the constants file, so I'll need his permission first.

EDIT - MB has given me permission to share the constants file if you want to give it a try
with the condition that if you make any improvement on it - you share back.

Kewl,

I use the same constants file for all my leagues
MB's file has transformed my games play to very realistic numbers across the board.

I too am seeing very passing percentage since the update. Most games are less than 50%. Also, per a separate post, sacks seem to be down too. Mykal, would it be possible to share the constants file you have with everyone? I am concern that this was a "final" release and I am seeing the number that i am seeing. I have seen receivers wide open and the quarterback over throw them--not a few times either.

Boy I tell ya' I'm glad this thing is getting some use.

If you'd like to see where I started at the MBCFL at www.mbsportsnet.com/mbfl/mbcfl.htm is a good place to look at historical data.  Season 1 you can see just waaaaaaaaay too many sacks, the completion % was pretty low and things like that.  As we worked it out sacks come down a bit, completion % up a bit.  Actually right now we're simming games mostly so you'll see even higher then I would like with my sim constants.  I'm still working on a few things such as punt and kickoff coverage plays to make those a little more realistic when watching a game.

The only thing I ask is that if you see some weird stuff, just let me know and I'll tweak or try to go over why that is.

Thanks,

Mb

Permission was given to share MB's constants file

It was given to me as part of the MBCIS
so you will find it at the foot of my CIS uniforms page
makes sense to me for it to be with CIS stuff.

Thanks MB, saves me emailing it to everyone who asks.

Anybody else having success getting QB's to complete passes using hacks playbooks after the new patch?  It appears on some routes WR's are not recognizing the ball being thrown and won't bother to catch it even when it is thrown accurately.

I think that's the problem with some of my plays. I have had success with the stock playbooks, example 1B Pro Passing-42 Def

RE: Passing

Post by micvik »

I used your constants and they didn’t work so I thought maybe it might be the rosters. I use a roster with reduced speed ratings because I think the default speed is arcadish. Well that appears to be the issue. You can only complete passes with WRs who have speed and agility ratings of 80 and up. I am testing further and if this finally turns out to be true its kind of disappointing for a game that is meant to be modable.

I may end up installing the old patch despite its problems I could at least make the game play the way I like.
