Would anyone be interested in these jerseys?

Post by DAWUSS »

As I've been getting the hang of jersey making, I started to make a few jerseys of some high school teams (one was a semi-requirement), and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in these jerseys for their leagues, as either actual or fantasy teams.

Anyway, both (featured) high schools are nationally ranked on USA Today's Top 25 poll. The Carmel Greyhounds are 7th and the Lakeland Dreadnaughts are ranked 12th

They're not perfect (I may do a little tweaking here and there), but (IMO) they're not terrible either.

... just curious, considering MFB is a "make and share" community and all [:)]

Absolutely. My uni collection cant ever be too big.

Dont sell yourself short, those look great. I have avoided trying some of the more complicated stuff like the black jersey in the above pic, and the green one above that. You've done a great job.

Definately post it.

I didn't make the green one (that one was back when I was less skilled and Mykal had nothing to do)

And yeah, I don't try to dabble too much in complicated stuff either... Though, surprisingly, Carmel's jerseys were easier than I thought they would be.

These are really nice - I love the ability to create High School teams and run some of that... I need to play around with how to do a true high school simulation one of these days but for that I'd probably run it like 4-5 seperate leagues and then do a "Champions League" style thing at the end.  I fear with 1 big league the DB would get too big too quickly.

I especially like the LHS uniform. Coincidentally, orange & black are colors for LHS- LaFayette High School in LaFayette, Georgia where I taught and coached for 12 years. Their mascot is the Ramblers.

Well, let's just say that I doubt I'll ever be done with high school teams. There are 318 high school football teams in the state of Indiana. And Indiana's 1 of 50. [X(]

Yeah, theirs were quick and easy. I do need to tamper with the socks, though.

Anyway, for comparison, (I did say these weren't quite perfect [and I took liberty with Carmel's pants, as I used the LA Comets for a base and figured the stripe could stay])

And for those of you interested in the other uniform:

Oh yer, it was a pig to make, I have a template for that design from one I made earlier (Laval)
but even with the template it took around 5 hours just to do the jersey.

still no complaints, a little longer spent making a jersey, makes for better looking team uni's in the end.

I think they're wider than the professional goalposts. I know the hash marks are wider apart than in college.
