I wouldn't mind seeing somthing like the Scouts & Radiers or UDT teams to recon targets before an invasion, the ability to land a small unit for recon without triggering an assult. Air Recon doesn't work very well in WITP, more times than not, all you get is "there is one Eng unit" only to invade and find 4 or 5 units!

I dont think that "Commando" forces did all that much in the PTO, some isolated actions but maybe not worth the effort.

BUT, could you add a "Bonus" if your invasion force included Raiders, Commandos or similar units. Thus portraying thier usage in clearing these "obstacles" on Invasion day.

I dont think air recon works because, especially for the Allies, thier Tac Recon units were short changed in WITP.  I modded CHS155 and added a Hurricane TR, Spitfire TR & P43 TR and then created TR Flights from 28 RAF & 1 RIAF Sqns and created 1 PRU RAAF. These short ranged units gave a better view of whats in the next hex. Not perfect but better.

I would also like to see LCU "Recon units" get an ability to see into adjaceant hexes. Units such as Cav/Cdo Rgts, Recce Bns etc plus very short ranged air units like the Auster & Taylorcraft should help in seeing "over the next hill"
