Rabaul screenshot?

Post by Elvis1965 »

For those of us who are really bored and wanting the game........

Question:

The Rabual base screenshot that appears on the main Matrix page has ten aircraft icons/counters on it.

I surmise each one represents a "type" of aircraft, but I was having to work hard to come up with ten different aircraft types:

fighters
dive bombers
torp bombers
fighter/bombers (twin engine jobs--maybe like Beaufort)
medium bombers
long range bombers
patrol aircraft (B24 for ASW or Catalina PBY's)
Seaplanes (maybe big & small-- Kingfisher & PBY?)

What else???? Any ideas?

Of course, they could be 'counters' representing the squadrons present at the base. That seems more likely.

The icons you see in Rabual represent each individual squadron and the different types of aircraft ie: fighters/Level Bombers/dive bombers are represented by the different shape of the aircraft in the icon

Suggest looking at the Port Morseby screenshot under UV page. Describes all types with abbreviations. They are:

F
F/FB
DB
LB
RE
TR
PA
FP
FF
TB
