Turn length

Post by madgamer2 »

I heard early on that AE would not have the single day turns as WitP does. It was said that 2 day turns will be minimum. Is this true as of now?

No member of the AE team has said this, I'm sure... I've said more than once that I choose not to play 1-day turns, but you certainly can if you want to.

Even against the computer I was thinking about 2 day turns. I was wondering against the computer how does say 2 day turns affect the play of the game and allied strategy in particular if the computer is playing Japan. Reply in less than 2K words LOL

The problem stems for not knowing who all the AE developers are when they post, you may want to have everyone update their sigs and/or avatars!

No, the problem was Madgamer remembered or mis-remembered "something" but failed to list a source.

Add the fact that Terminus came with the fact that no team member was the source of the Madgamer memory. I believe Terminus is correct in this.

Maybe somebody said it sometime, maybe they didn't. It does not matter as it is not true.

Anyway, two-day turns are great fun.

I played some 3 month and 4 month scenarios of UV by PBEM with the turn length set to 2 days.

This made very manageable 45 and 60 turn games

players who happen to also be working on AE have mentioned enjoying and/or preferring 2day turns, but 1 day turns are not and will not be eliminated. The Matrix server couldn't handle the stream of posts that would be generated by such a move. [:D]
