Getting the

I just found out about the American Civil War 1861 - 1865 scenario:
http://www.the-strategist.net/RD/scenar ... php?Id=549 for the 19th century mod. Downloaded all the stuff (scenrio + 19th Century database engine) and tried to install.

But, I simply can't get the thing to work and am a bit puzzled.

What should I do, what do I need to download and how to install?[&:]

The "database engine" you installed is a TOAW COW .exe. You will need to convert this to a TOAW III equipment file in order to make the scenario run.

In order to convert the file, you'll need the utility which was used to create the .exe in the first place, which is the BioEd. This can be found here;

(yes yes, I know, the TDG site is supposed to be closed. Don't tell the company which is hosting it, we haven't paid them).

Anyway, run the utility, load the .exe, and export the equipment database to a .XML file. Rename this file to .eqp and move it to a folder with the name of the scenario inside your TOAW III graphics folder. Load the scenario using the scenario editor in TOAW III and then save it again. You should now be able to play.

Note that converting scenarios from COW to TOAW III may still produce event errors. You will want to confirm this before playing as these may be game-breaking.

You will see a copy of the XIX century database on the top left converted for TOAW3. This comes with a readme about where to place the files.

In order to play the scenario, you will need to convert it to TOAW3 by opening it in the TOAW3 editor and simply saving it.
