Harpoon and Vista 64

Post by Cappy »

Hi all;

I used to be a big time Harpoon III player. I loved the game and really missed it when it disappeared. Then I found it here again and am overjoyed. But I am cautious on punching the "Buy Button".

I recall that it was basically a DOS game. Well I have a top notch, modern machine running Vista 64 as an operating system. Will Harpoon run on this operating system?

Thanks for any information.

Harpoon 3 [ANW] scenarios for the PlayersDB

Take out any guesswork. Grab the demo and see if it runs.

You (might) have to dial back the date of your system to July 1, 2008 before running it and you should be fine.

Freek runs ANW on his Vista machine and doesn't seem to have any problem with it.

One thing you might consider is NOT to install the game into your Programs folder as this might keep asking you for additional permissions/authorizations.

Vista 64 is no problem here, I run H3ANW without any problems.
