IS commander a reincarnation?

Post by Anendrue »

This game seems very similiar to a game I purchased a few years ago from a French company . I no longer have the game but the screen shots seem exactly the same. I no longer have the game since I typically build a new PC annually. The original license was a download that only allowed two installations and when moving from PC1 to PC2 you used up a license. Does anyone remember the games name. I thought it was Strategic Commander.

Anyway the game was incredibly simple. No D-Day was going to occur if you played the AXIS as the AI was juvenille at best. If this is the same game....

How has it improved?
Is the licensing still the same?
Is the game play so simple that the game is only playable five or ten times?

If this is not the same game ....

Please tell me about it before I spemd money on it?

Thanks for the heads up. I'll keep reading the forums while I decide weather to purchase or not.

EDIT I found my old disk. This is the same game but with many updates. My purchase went through a French company at the time. Maybe they sold me a pirated version since you say this was not your game. From what I remember the game seemed very incomplete and was a v1.00 release. Since I can not install it again due to the ignorant licensing scheme attached to it (I am on my 3rd PC since then) I will trash this CD. I hope this version is better than 1.00. Hioowever I won't buy it. Once burned is definitely learned.

Commander Europe at War was released in June 2007, I have no idea what game you purchased prior to that.

He must mean Strategic Command but thats not by a French company. Or maybe Clash of Steel as thats quite similar to SC.

My error completely. Strategic Command is the name on my disk. The graphics are so very very close in resemblance. I did not mean it was created by a French Company only that I purchased it from a French company. My thanks to Iain McNeil for clarifying that this is not the same game. For that I am glad to hear. Maybe I will buy it after all since I just did not want the same game I had before.
