Scrambling a Squadron for Intercept

Post by kaybayray »

Greetings All [8D]

First off this is one great game... I have been playin around with all the instant action scenarios. I started out a campaign when I first got the game and got tired of getting shot out of the sky all the time. So I figured I needed to learn how to fly a lot better. [:D]

So my question is:

When playing as the RAF, I detect an incoming raid. I am familliar with I believe most of the automated options to assign a squadron to intercept or to grab the nearest patrol to intercept. However I am not figuring out how to check nearby bases and find a squadron that is at the 5 minute ready point and scramble them to intercept.

I would also like to know if there is a way that when I am using one of the automated routines to assign a squadron to intercept to select a particular squadron for the intercept? It appears that the game mechanics are selecting which squadron is to intercept.

Thank you in advance for you kind help. [8D]

Hi kaybayray,

Sorry, I just do not know the campaign details well enough to answer (I am just a humble BOBII coder). Most of our good campaign players hang out at the BOBII A2A forum. I request you post at the A2A so the campaign guys can try and answer your questions.

BTW, learning to fly well and control the game environment (features, keys, options) are important first steps to becoming an effective campaigner.

The BOBII A2A forum link is here (you will like the BOBII community , I bet):
