Wish List

Post by larrywrose »

1) Allowing the Political Phase and Economic Phase to be run simultaneously.
2) During the reinfocement phase allow a button to auto skip the Naval Phase or Land Phase.
3) Under the options screen the Optional Rule that allowed the ceding of minor countries only as part of a surrender.
4) During the Economic phase when building for a Free State allow the building of units in excess of their money and have it automatically taken from the controlling powers money. You can add a message for confirmation.

I have been pusing for 1 for a long time. I really think anything that speeds up the game will be a great benefit to all the players.

Thanks

Mr. Rose's number 1 item is also on the top of my list.

I think Wish #2 will be granted in 1.05, so I'd put resolving the PBEM security issues (whether real or perceived) as #2.

Next (#3), I'd like a way to pre-order reinforcement placement during the diplomacy phase (combined with Wish #1, this would essentially make both diplomacy and reinforcment simultaneous). Can you imagine cutting the game time in half?

Next (#4) would be to see naval evasion put in.

Further down the list, (#5) I'd like to see battle file exchange dropped for seige battles, and (#6) added in for single corps battles (except for trival battles, which I'd like to see added (#7).

Lastly, (#8) I'd like to see autoforage skip option for the land phase (if this were done in combination with the other skip optioons, then a player would be restricted to only being able to skip 3 out of the 4 phases to prevent from being locked out of the game forever).

I feel like I am saying please Santa, all I want for Christmas is.... However, adding the above would make the PBEM quite quick and enjoyable. They'd also improve the AI game.

Matrix should really focus on fixing the many still existing bugs in this game.

I don't disagree. Fixing bugs is mandatory, and presumably remains the top priority. However, it would seem to be a good idea to know the direction we want to take the final product, so Matrix can push the game in that direction as they go. We might get lucky, and some bugs might become irrelevant if the certain features are changed.

And of course, there is also a bit of a grey area between what is one person's bug and and another's wish.

#1 is a tuffy and will NOT be in 1.05 but may look for it on 1.06
#2 should be in 1.05

Skipping is most definitely in 1.05
Security? Not sure yet.

Thank you
