Crashes after installing 2.0

I followed all the instructions for installing 2.0 patch and now game exits to Windows during computer turn after 2-3 turns of action. Has happened in both scenario play and campaign. Any help out there? I really love this game and hope I can get over this!

Again, Bob, did you delete the steel.prf file from the save directory?

Did you reboot after installing? You'll need to do both of these.

What was happening in the game when it crashed. Need more specific details. Playing a scenario? Which? Playing a campaign, battle? In the editor?

Need some details to help you my friend.
